I admit it, I have a soft spot for guys who love their dogs. I can't help it. Hot guy, cute animal--if he has long hair I'll go home with him before I even know his name. That might be part of why Eye Patch!Connor is fun to write--Eva drives him crazy but at the end of the day he'll still let her sleep on the bed.
